Elmwood Senior Center

Throughout the year our intergenerational community service project with the Elmwood Senior Center continued. Classes went over in groups for activities. This year we joined in the fun of Red Nose Day! It is a day when everyone wears a red nose to raise money to help children who need help. The PreK and School Readiness went to the Center in the fall to sing songs. The lower grades spent a morning playing games and wroking on puzzles. This year's Halloween Parade took a path that included the Senior Center. The 6th-8th graders enjoyed a Veteran's Day presentation and thanked the Veteran's who were present. WE joined the Seniors and Santa to sing Christmas carols and preformed some of the songs we were singing for our Christmas Show. During Catholic Schools Week a few of the Seniors braved the cold weather and came to school for some arts and crafts. One of our favorite activities is Rocking and Rolling to the 50's. It's one of the Seniors favorite too!
